Snow skiing anyone and a few Parker accomplishments

Danny and Parker decided to take up cross country snow skiing as a much needed break from the cabin fever that both of them have been experiencing this winter. Danny snapped this shot while they were on a trail up in Logan Canyon. I love Parker's smile in this pic and his tiny pink cheeks!

Parker has learned to do the following things over the last 2 weeks or so:

1) Thanks to a bit of help from his dad, see picture above,

the Wee One has discovered a love of cross country snow skiing

2) Knock on doors using his knuckles with his fist closed when he wants to be let in or out

3) Do the sign for more, all done, and book.

4) Give zerberts on just about anything he can put his mouth on but the funniest ones are on his books and the big picture window in our front room

5) He can now push his stool in front of the picture window to stare out at all the world has to offer!

6) He can easily get on and off of his 4-wheeler now and loves to scoot it around the living room,

and stand on it!

7) His new words are, "Uh-Oh," "Up," "Moo," "Dog," "Book,"

 "Quack,"and "Bird." And he loves to make the, "vroom vroom," sound for a picture of a car!

8) He was given a Sandra Boynton book called, "Doggies a Counting Book," and each page shows a different number of dogs with each dog making a different barking sound. Since Parker loves our dog Loki so much he has memorized that on page 9 when the illustration shows the dogs all howling together that he should howl right along with them! And so he proceeds to let out the cutest little howl of his own! I am hoping to get that one video soon. :)

9) He can identify multiple animals when we are looking through his books,

 like a bee, a mouse, a dog, a cat, and a bird.

10) He loves loves loves to brush his own teeth when it is time for bed! He thankfully still lets his dad and I help but he sure loves to get in there and go to town make his chompers sparkle!

11) He has been doing the following since he was about 4-5 months old but for some reason I have just never posted it. Parker can move an object he is holding from one hand to the other when asked to, "switch hands." It really helps when I am trying to get him to put his arms in his jammies

 or am trying to dress him in anything for that matter.

12) He also loves his new POTTY!!!! When I posted last week that he keeps grabbing his crotch to let us know that there is something warm and mushy by his tushy and that he would like to be changed a friend suggested that I put a little potty in the bathroom for him so he could start getting used to it. So I did, and since he isn't using it yet for which it was intended he instead loves to put all his little bath toys in it and I even find cheerios in there on occasion! :)

13) And lastly, Danny has taught him how to give, "knuckles!" Which is cute of course but it is even cuter when after giving knuckles we cheer for him and he claps his knuckles together, instead of his open hands, to cheer for himself! :)
