I apologize for not calling everyone back directly about Parker's study. But we appreciate all the prayers and well wishes on his behalf. To sum up this experience in one word the study was a BUST! Poor Parks.....he had SUCH a miserable time. All those electrodes, belts and bands! The kid was covered!!! And he DID not like it!!! We arrived about 8:45pm (problem number one cause I have been trying to put Parker down by 6-6:30pm.) and they took him back and started hooking him up. Parks played along with it until they started placing them on his face. Then he went ballistic!! You see my hand in this picture placing his twinkle twinkle little star dino (from his Auntie Marissa!) to help calm him to no avail! And trying to hold, swaddle, and rock the poor child and not end up removing the electrodes was impossible. But he finally, out of exhaustion, fell asleep for about 45 minutes. (Other problems...no light sedative to help Parks relax, too bright in the room, to HOT in the room, and too many other people in the clinic not able to sleep with Parks screaming his little head off!) Finally about 11:30pm after another round of Parks screaming for about an hour I finally went and got the tech who told me Parks needed to stay asleep for at least 3 hours for any real results to be obtained. And anyone who knows me that is reading this post...I bet yall know what I sweetly said to her regarding THAT suggestion! :) I thanked them for their time and packed up Parks after unhooking him and we went home. (I am sure no one was sad to see us go! :) If this Dr. of his is really a specialist she'll be able to determine something from the 45 minutes she was lucky to get!

I cried so much when I heard your report on Park's sleep study. That was a fiasco especially for a tiny little baby!!!! I'm sure you wanted to leave much earlier but were trying to gather some results. Maybe you need a second opinion from a REAL SPECIALIST. Maybe you could just come back to FL and he can sleep here. We love you so much. Please come if you want to.
Much love,
Mom&Marcus
